It truly amazes me that
I have to warn people about this type of "opportunity". Preferential Sporting Investments are based
in Cheltenham and they ask you to send them money which they bet on your
behalf. They then take a 9% commission.
Preferential Sporting Investments - Zero Risk For Them
Let's think about their
business model for a moment. It's
perfect... for them!
You take ALL of the risk
by staking your money. They take no
risk, if they lose you lose capital they lose a customer. Hmm wonder which side of the fence I would
rather be on?
They don't have to win
most of the time, if only 20% of their customers come out on top they have a
business even if overall their punters have lost a fortune.
There are mixed reports
online about this service. The Mirror
ran a story showing how one client tried to collect his winnings after 92 days
but instead got a very nice letter back from the company which basically said
they had been on a losing streak which meant the whole stake had been lost.
I have a number of
problems with this statement. First of
all why didn't Preferential Sporting Investments let the client know the state
of play before they lost every last penny of the client's money? Why did the client (a guy called Tony Knaggs,
he had to bet on horses with a name like that) only get informed of his loss
once he wrote in? And finally how do we
know that Preferential really staked bets?
The long and the short
of it is that your cash goes into a black hole, you sit, pray and hopefully you
get some cash out of the other end.
If anyone would like to
send me some cash I can promise I will send a few of you more than you sent in,
unfortunately the rest of you will have to whistle for your cash. Do we have a deal? Thought not.
Please never send your
cash to a third party to place bets for you, no matter how good the sales pitch
is! Now we all know tipsters can go on a
bad run and this may have happened with Preferential, but we will never know.
If you use a tipster use
one which allows you to place a bet, at the very least you will know if you won
or not.
I need to have a sit
down in a quiet room to get my blood pressure down. In case you are in any doubt after my tirade
give this one a giant swerve.
