Now here's a novelty...get rich, slow and steady. As you probably know time is your greatest
asset if you want to be wealthy, but only if your patient.
Apparently it was Einstein who said compounding was the eighth wonder of
the world. Warren Buffet certainly
agrees.
Any type of medium term investing benefits hugely from compounding. Just imagine for a moment some kindly sole invested £10,000 for you
when you were 18 and achieved an average return of 15% for year. Any idea what it would be worth by the time
you were 60? Over £3.5 million
smackers, all from £10,000.
Now I know what you're thinking, I'm not eighteen so I've missed the
boat. Not necessarily.
Stephen Sutherland is a famous UK investor and has featured on both TV
and radio. Most of this coverage was
because he was able to turn $31,409 in to almost $1.3 million in 38 short
months.
Stephen trades investment funds, not stocks through ISA's or SIPP's for
tax free gains. Stephen spends hours
pouring over data and he gives you the opportunity to piggy back on his
expertise.
Stephen will let you know when he thinks the market is healthy. Now in a healthy market Stephen believes it
is possible to achieve 30% returns.
To prove his point Stephen Sutherland points to his and some of
his clients portfolio gaining 55% in 7 months during 2009.
Stephen states
"Annualising 30% over the next 10
years and adding the maximum tax-free allowance each and every year (it's now
been raised to £10,200) could actually net a person and their partner a tidy
£1.28 million in tax-free income."
Now if you have longer than
10 years, say you are in your 30's or 40's, you do not need such aggressive
returns to hit the magic million. As
always I must point out that investing is never guaranteed, but by investing
via an ISA and in funds I think your risk factor is reduced considerably.
Stephen's package
includes a Retire Rich manual and training delivered in the comfort of your own
home. Perhaps more importantly you get
Stephen's daily market updates, their monthly newsletter and membership to
their liquid gold club.
Again this is not for
everyone, if you don't have £10,000 a year spare it's probably not for
you. If you do this could take you on
the slow and steady path to wealth. Not
as much fun, but a whole lot safer.
